It’s a hell of a throw but he’s not too quick and looks a little overweight. Not the worst left back cover we could get. I’d take a punt on him if only one to bring on with 10 to go when we need to throw the kitchen sink at it. Then again he could probably launch a cast iron bath into the box.

Ever seen the stats on goals from corners scored?
(Something like 2%).
Last year I think it took until the 8th week of the Prem season for a goal to be scored from a corner (something like that)....

Southgate correctly identified set pieces as the best way to score at the WC but not sure it will filter down to our non league status though

From what I've seen corners and free kicks will be a targetted area from the team, after all we've a real arial presence this season.

His needs a lot of work on his positional play infact Charlie Wakefield was covering so much ground trying to help him out and on that alone would not take a chance at this stage

However we scored from one of his throw inns and they are a SERIOUS SERIOUS WEAPON.

In this league when it will bevall about brawn most of the time and we need to go direct and we need a goal if we can get him chesp I think he is worth a shot

Honestly I have never seen snything like it they are likeva missile and deadly accurate

Clearly you were too young to have seen Jimmy McGuigans team from 1969-71. The masters of goals from corners. (A near post flick on). Mind back in those days, it wasn’t acceptable to wrestle the attacking team’s players to the ground as the ball came in.
