I'd likely go if we drew Macc or maybe Nantwich away, but that would be about it.

Im probably in a minority, but as a fan I want to see us win every game and every competition we take part in. I fully understand the argument that getting back to the Football league is the ultimate priority. To do that we need to have a fully fit squad ready to step in when required, therefore I see the trophy as a great opportunity to give match day time to fringe players and players not part of the match-day squad to maintain a winning mentality and I feel would be great if we could get promoted doing the double.

I agree with Benno....winning becomes a habit and long may it continue in all competitions...after yesterday's blip.

Not many of the usual starting XI will feature, if we win then great.

Trouble is that does t leave many players, 5 or 6 tops given Cookies rotation so some of the current Xi (which is more like 14/15) will have to play lol

I agree too, but it's just so annoying that the games are on Saturday's and take priority meaning a league game gets postponed, so progressing is counter productive, unlike the Derbyshire Cup.

That being said games get postponed because are opponents are in it so we potentially waste a Saturday, so may as well progress.

obviously the lowest priority competition for us this season and with so much at stake in the league it has to be a game where we field a team to rest our key players, do we have a starting 11 to do this? not quite i don't think. not sure where connor cook plays but here's a potential line up...

keeper (whichever one isn't used as current league no.1)
sheckleford, williams (returning) freckleton horton (unless clements is back)
oldaker cook
king (worth a try there in this game) dobs (need pitch time for confidence) berry
curtis

Part of me hopes we end up away at a side like Borehamwood or Bromley, put out a reserve side and go out with a dignified 0-1 loss.

Why on earth would anyone want the team they support to ever lose a game? Madness

I wont be celebrating a loss but i think its fair to say we have bigger fish to fry and getting promotion is a massive priority. At least a couple of wins in the FA Cup gets us some decent prize money to help strengthen the squad. We dont want to putting the likes of Grigg, Naylor etc out and some rough bothered lower non league player kicks them into next week and we lose them for a spell.

I think the answer to that is glaringly obvious.

A competition for our squad players.

Looking forward to a home draw, an admission price relecting the kinda side we'll field and a stress free afternoon out supporting my team...
