Booking a cruise for our twentieth wedding anniversary year on the P and O Britannia in Jan 2020. We've had one cruise before with Royal Caribbean which we loved but they tend to sale from the USA and have more family orientated ships so we're going direct to Barbados and choosing P and O.
Anyone sailed on the Britannia before?

No but I did take my grandma (98 now, 94 then) on a 'Strictly Come Dancing' cruise with P&O on the Oriana. It was like the Day of the Dead and my wife and I were by far the youngest people on board but it was a pleasant ship in good nick with lovely staff (earning a pittance on dodgy contracts), good entertainment and superb food. We visited some cracking ports down the Iberian Atlantic, too.
My sisters took her the next year and a Norovirus outbreak meant everything was closed and they had a terrible time, though my grandma seemed oblivious to that and still loved it.

Have a good time!
These go to eleven.

I once went on the Isle of Wight ferry. Is that similar?

Did Princess round Caribbean from Fort Lauderdale and P&O down to Madeira and Canaries - much preferred the P&O service and boat. That might have been due to all of the US citizens (generally those that thought they were exotic by going outside of the US..) on the Princess cruise.

Not really my thing but the wife enjoyed it - and happy wife - happy life...

Did California for our dream holiday - no boats, just a car, but far and away my favourite holiday.
Stay Home. Stay Safe.
