Is this the best time for York City to be playing us !!! sore heads, promotion party blues, weve already done it mentality. Or will we see the lets carry on and get 100 points mentality. Be interesting on Friday.

I'd be surprised if we won. And I'm not overly fussed really.

York will be proper fired up due to their precarious situation. Was it nerves that caused our slump or was it just us thinking we had won it before we did? We will certainly not have the excuse for nerves on Friday.

It might sound mad, given the weekend celebrations- but I have a feeling we will bounce into this and win quite comfortably.

Looking forward to the day out, but have zero expectations on the football side of things given the weekend the players look to have had! Would like us to get to 100 points though but can see us being off it a bit here, but I can forgive that!

Be interesting to see how things go on Friday....getting over the line, two day celebration etc are hardly the greatest preparation but York are where they are for a reason, we are where we are for a reason. There will be a vocal celebratory backing for the lads as well so be good to go out and win. Few of us have been saying for a few weeks now that once we get over the line and the pressure is off we could go out and give some an absolute tanking that we have been threatening all season. Not sure it will be Friday mind you.

Agree pressure off let's finish the season in style. and finish on 110 points and 35 wins beating Wrexham's 34 would be great difficult I know but possible.

Yep. Pressure is off now which should suit flair players, can try what they like without any repercussions.

We will be on the 8:08 Train and sat in Wetherspoons having a breakfast just after 9:30am.

What pubs are people heading to in York.

One downfall to that being, has happened to Colclough at Halifax will York in their desperate states allow that to happen and maybe put fear of injury into our flair players minds. To use such tactics York would be buoyed by the fact the appointed ref as at Halifax is inexperienced at this level and they might get away with it for awhile. In fact the appointed ref is that inexperienced it will be only his second game at this level, the other being last year and will a crowd of over 1,500 add to potential trepidation.

Really poor appointment given the magnitude of the game for York City and potential away support.
Who makes these decisions? Surely build up with smaller games!

Also on the 8.08, usually head down over the bridge down by the river - there's a Yates' or something that is usually a good starting point on race day as it opens up early.

Gone for a York win and both to score double with my usual Paddy P at 3.58/1. Not expecting an away win, but will enjoy the day out regardless. Has Mandy surfaced yet? Wonder if Quigs is OK by now? 😂

Interesting that York have allowed early season signing Will Davies go on loan to Bromley. 16 starts, 4 sub appearances, 5 goals.
And, hospitality guests are Iain Dunn and Chris Marples.
