Came across very, very well in his Player interview. Likeable, relaxed and genuine. Now all he needs to do is slot a few into the old onion bag and we'll have a new Spireite favourite.

Came across very well. Articulate and realistic.

Still no official word as to the length of contract signed, other than outsiders saying 'I understand its for a year with an option for another year'.

What are you thinking, a Warhurst / Boa Morte arrangement?

He says in his interview that Saunders got in touch with him the day after Preston beat us in the playoff semi final 2nd leg.

Becoming more apparent that Saunders was lined up (and knew all about it) well before the playoffs took place

Happy to be proved wrong, but yes I am thinking along those lines. Otherwise I can't see why its not being properly publicised.

A little admission that will surprise precisely no one.

Except he said Saunders got in touch after the Wembley Final NOT after they beat us in the semi in the Player interview

But as Saunders was appointed the day after Cook left, and a couple of days after the 2nd leg it is a bit obvious anyway

Really??? Haven't you seen our PR department at work before? The well oiled machine that has still not told us that two of our players' contracts were extended last season and has still not announced that Myles Wright has signed a one year deal

Alan Biggs said 1 year (and I don't think he has ever been wrong about anything)

Thought I'd read it was 1 year with an option for a second based on appearances which sort of fits with both reports

So, there is now an interview on the OS with DS regarding SEB. As to the length of the contract the nearest we get is DS saying: 'He needs to get a full season under his belt and score 20 goals for us then he'll be back in the Championship, hopefully with us, or he'll attract someone else."

No wonder we have differing details available to us.
My guess? A year's deal with us, with an option for us for another year if we get promoted, or an option for him to leave if we don't.
