This board signalled the chase for Madden and Drummond before the press, so it?s worth reading. All part of the fun.

Yep. I'm still intrigued by the rumour on Thompson-Sommers. It's so left field that it surely has to be true, my logic being that the only way any Town fan would know the name is via a very good tip off.
Any road up, he's OOC in June and as far as I can see (which is not far), Halifax haven't issued their retained list yet.

700000 18yr old in uk, so if half opt for national service over uni/college that leaves 350000. so youd be increasing the uk military by 1/3. cost of housing, feeding, training (which will take more of your regulars away), problems of those that dont really want to be there, problems of those that shouldnt be there. will they be trained with weapons or just used for 'labour'.

i think by & large when youre 18 you know whether you want a military career or not. why not use the 'new' money for the above to reward your fulltime military for their efforts (pay, conditions, post service help).

its a desperate popularist roll of the dice by a man/party coming to the inevitable end.

The starting point here should be whether we are short of the optimum number of service men/women that we need. Whilst I wouldn't expect any of our half wit politicians to have a clue how to work that out, there must be someone who can.

So, ideas please on how to boost numbers if we are/will be short are most welcome.

Thought we?d released him so he can?t be released back to us.

There's no way Crawley will contribute to his wages until the end of June 'cos we have to pay him. So, technically he's released back to us pending his negotiations with them which might already be finalised.

Starmers got a huge chance and it would be nothing short of a complete political embarrassment if he doesn?t become the next PM but I think he has a hell of a lot of work to do over the next few weeks.

    Time will tell.

His Radio 4 interview after 8am this morning was very weak indeed.

    It's a trap.
A Rwanda flight carrying illegal immigrants will take off just before July 4th.
    It's their only chance.
