Well I am about to pack my Nikon kit for a two and a half week spell in the Malaysian rainforest so it better live up to its reputation for being a bit rugged otherwise I'm f****ed

Unfortunately, not many Nikkor lenses have weather sealing, and only the higher end bodies (D300 and up) will have better internal sealing so be extra careful in the rainforest. I suggest you go over to the dark side (Canon). :excl:

I am taking a D300 and a D90. I have used all my kit in really bad weather, most recently at the WRC where the weather was truly awful and it all performed well.

As for moving over to the dark side... After the money I have spent on camera kit, I would rather have a blind man fan my balls with a broken bottle.
