  1. Away Drum In East Stand And Supporters Survey

    15 February 2024 - 02:36 PM

This is mostly of interest to Eaststanders.
I’ve raised this with the Forum and Phil Tooley suggested that it may be included in the Survey. Whilst it hasn’t specifically been included there is a section in part 1 of the survey for free text views on aspects of the match day experience you would like to see improved.

I’ve passed my views via the survey as it really is a nuisance to me and I’ve heard others say the same.

Seems like an opportunity to at least Say how you feel and who knows it might even change.
The survey is still on the Club site. But here’s the links.

  2. Cfc Poppy Pins

    29 September 2023 - 09:02 AM

I’ve just bought these from Royal British Legion. A very worthwhile cause. Looks like they are available for most teams

  3. Red Cards On The Up

    18 September 2023 - 12:17 PM

The dubious Jacobs sending off is one of five red cards in 9 games. Up to now our opponents have had four red cards. Much more than expected in previous seasons.
My take is that we are harder to play against resulting in more fouls when we are on the attack - haven’t got any stats though. Also foul play may be being taken more seriously by the officials, even with their inherent inconsistencies.

    Has this helped us?
In two of the games the foul leading to dismissal has led to a free kick from which we have scored and probably not attributed to reduced opposition numbers. However:
Versus Dorking the free kick gave us the lead temporarily and despite 10 man Dorking equalising we subsequently scored a winner.
Against Daggers the free kick gave us an equaliser and we subsequently scored the winner and another against 10 men.
So in two of those instances - yes probably
Could have been others as Refs have bottled cards against our opponents.
