Just seen the highlights and I thought it was the kind of think Jack would have tried. Plausible deniability, but it looked a foul to me as Dobra knocked the CB's ankles together, which gave him an unmarked tap-in. Classic Lester, beautifully executed.

I suppose these things even up over a season - a bit like the Oldham interfering with play - one against us, and a break for us as happened on Sat.

The state and moment in the game shouldnt matter. We'll see plenty of teams at our place happy to take their time at 0-0 in the first half and it should be dealt with in the same way but will probably get a blow of the whistle or roll of the arms to half heartedly tell them to hurry up. Jacobs barely got any warning and then a yellow that sees him sent off. Happens all the time with keepers at our place taking ages over goal kicks, refs wont book them until about the 75th\80th minute as they darent do it earlier in case it leads to them having to do it again and send someone off.

Interesting thought, and I'm sure in theory there shouldn't be any difference in the ruling, no matter what stage of the game we've reached. However, common sense would suggest that time wasted in the last few minutes, when pressure and atmosphere is building, is much more significant and should be treated as such.
There's also the point that it slows down the game and destroys any momentum that the losing team are building up towards the end. That's probably even more significant now that referees have finally got round to adding at least a bit on for the wasted time, and it's certainly very frustrating for the fans trying to urge their team on.
The opinion of a referee would be interesting.

If he was cautioned for just time wasting on that occasion it was extremely harsh. Perhaps there was more to it maybe he had had a verbal run in with the ref something has onlookers we wouldnt see and that was the straw that broke the camels back, who knows. However up to our goal they were killing the game/time wasting at every opportunity but other than an occasional bo..ocking nowt was done about it.

We do appear to succumb to a number of head scratching sending offs, uncanny.

Perhaps if some of the refs could read the game better and spot delaying tactics and took action from minute one thus setting a blueprint for the rest of the game, punters may feel they are getting more value for money and clubs could get sh..housery coaches of their wage bill.

If you watch the highlights the ref is never looking at it as he's following the player with the ball so he cant give anything, would need the assistant to have said something and they arent going to give a decision that far away from them and they were probably following play looking for offside anyway. Its a tangle of legs and had it been the other way round and he gave a foul against their player on Dobra then the manager is probably whinging that its accidental and not a foul in any way.

Not on the highlights, but near the end, per the full game on NLTV, Berry is caught as he bears in on goal, ref says no foul.
Not that different to the Dobra tangle of legs.
