Positives and negatives in that.
More chance of winning through against higher league opposition, but less chance of two big pay days.

Would have been good to have had this for the West Brom tie last year

Why rounds 1 and 2? What L1 and L2 clubs enter the UEFA completions? They need to find another reason for that decision
So chuffed it looks like the Premiership has lost its extra european spot after last nights results

I’d love for them to join a european mega league permanently. The problem with that is they would probably want a guaranteed spot in the top domestic league to use as a feeder club

EFL chief executive Trevor Birch said the decision to scrap replays from the first round is "frustrating and disappointing" and that the EFL will be "seeking appropriate compensation arrangements".
He added: "This represents another lost traditional revenue stream for EFL clubs at a time when the financial gap between the biggest clubs and those further down the pyramid is growing bigger than ever.

So we have written off the FA Trophy, EFL Trophy and the FA Cup. What does that actually leave? Endless UEFA completions that soon every Premiership club can enter (even the relegated ones)

It’ll all be settled by cash compensation I’m afraid.
Yeah, Manure can post a £100K bond to secure a bye to the next round

I agree, the clubs are professional and should respect the paying fans and endeavour to win every game they play.

Every EFL club (obviously including us 😀 ) should do the same. Bout time clubs called out the Fa, Premier league fat cats, the fans have been doing it for ages. Greed has been ruining the game for…well…since the Premier league was formed. They counter it by saying look at the millions we give you….yeh…and where does that disappear to…back in the fa pockets ultimately. FIFA, UEFA, FA….all corrupt as ****, EFL management following closely. The NL are just too incompetent to know what’s going on.

I hope we are to follow, and I hope the club are willing to join other clubs taking a stand.
If you give the FA and PL an inch, they will soon take a mile.
