I have rarely been this season but one thing always mentioned is players fitness and how poor it is perceived.

At Clubs comprehensive tests are carried out at start of pre-season, end of pre season and at various times throughout depending on managers wishes.

There will definitely be one anytime now at the pre Christmas period.

If anyone has a Q&A or speakeasy etc where questions can be asked it would be interesting if some figures could be released from the testing.

(I know it was said last season that they were fitter than ever before by one of the players (?) and that body fat for Evatt (I think) was released at around 10%)

When they're crap and losing they look unfit.

If they actually are crap AND unfit the results will be much as they've been.....

10 mile runs around Linacre reservoir (20 for Evo) followed by some boxing and we'd be 10 points better off and still in the cup.

And if we still had Jamie and his freezer spay, instead of a walking medical degree, we wouldn't have 10 injuries
Accentuate th Positive, eliminate the negative

The training is no way as intense as it was with Shinner we have been spoilt by the Cook era and it will take a long time for the good times to return.

What actual evidence have you got - I mean first hand.

Double edged sword of course-train too hard to intensely and players get injured ( a la Arsenal or Liverpool)
Train incorrectly or not enough and lack of conditioning means injuries....

The players are plenty fit enough in my view. The problem is too many of them are built like sparrows & easily out muscled, & it doesn't look like many have the frames to bulk up much ie Donohue, Liddle, O'Shea, Nolan, Aryibi, Mitchell, Beesley, Anderson, etc

Don't need to bulk up to get stronger...

How does Mitchell look? Not seen him at Town but did a lot when he was at Chelsea. Was a terrific young athlete of a player but had a nasty injury

He's pretty solidly built with a decent turn of pace, the last few games he has covered a lot of ground on one flank and done some vital defensive work, bizarrely that's what has stood out for me, I don't think we have seen the best of him going forward yet.
He should never have been taken off yesterday.
If you do what you always do, you'll get what you always get.
