According to the official site, 1.30pm this afternoon.

To be honest I won’t be that bothered if it’s off, looking at how bad their pitch is already.

Looking at their last 2 games highlights it will be a blessing if it’s off.

A heavy muddy pitch isn't good for sore hamstrings.

It will be a blessing if it’s off but how desperate are Halifax for our gate monies.

Should be tested by league officials before seasons starts, if your pitch isn’t up to scratch or you’re making money by sharing it with a rugby team then you’re getting points deducted or fined every game you have called off. This is basically a full time league now, no tinpots allowed

If it’s going to rain then stop, why can’t they put a bluddy gret sheet of plastic down for a couple of hours?

Because if the dimensions on the football ground guide site are right they will need some plastic that is 110 x 76 yards in size and doubt they've got that laying around!

Ours isnt heavy and muddy, its cut up and bobbly making it crap for us passing it about but its not heavy. It would need to hold a load of water to get heavy and it just doesnt do that.

Are those people who want this off
a) Don’t go to games
b) Wanted to be out of the Trophy to stop fixture congestion?

No, they are people who want us to play on a half reasonable pitch and not a cabbage patch.

As I said on the Halifax thread, I think it's best if its off. Rochdale are off tonight so will be coming into Saturdays game fresh whereby we will be a bit "leggy" if playing on the mudfheap tonight. We could therefore suffer a double whammy before going to barnet next week. And dropping out the trophy means there are days in march available.

There's a band of brief but heavy rain coming into the NW from about 3pm - seems a bit daft inspecting it at 1.30.

Halifax supporter on our clubs Facebook page….

“don’t get me wrong it’s heavy in the middle of the pitch, but it’s playable. We played the last two games in this condition, and it’s Cracking flags here at the moment, and haven’t had much rain since Saturday and can’t see it raining today. If it’s called off it be a joke.”
