If there is any truth at all in the rumour( and I'm not saying there is ) that he agreed a wage but was offered more elsewhere and come back asking for more still, then the club are doing the right thing and that isn't putting it all into Grigg it's plain business sense . If he signs then great if he doesn't the quest goes on

I get he has to look after himself but he obviously likes it here and I don’t think there are many teams/managers going into next season that could help his career take off further than us. I dont know what planet that lot are on down in Essex. Where the rumour they are in for Dallas has come from I don’t know, in what world would he randomly sign for them even if they were took over? They are so far behind us and Solihull it would be a big backwards step in his career. Makes absolutely no sense but whatever helps them sleep at night. If he signs for anyone in this league its us. As it stands in my mind anyway I think he will sign for an EFL club and we need to move on. Jephcott will likely be the backup if not someone else

Apparently both were offered contracts with a deadline of yesterday (23rd) to accept, so I don’t think it’s a case that more was put into Grigg and more likely that Dallas agent is pushing for EFL.

That’s exactly what I’ve heard. Dallas officially doesn’t have a club next Friday and I now Town were keen to have him unveiled before this weekend. Obviously something has gone wrong somewhere, but like others say we move on 🤷‍♂️

I think (and quite rightly) we wanted him on the plane to Portugal. If that’s been extended until today, fair enough.

Allegedly it’s his agent that’s pushing for elsewhere - I suspect time is running out, unless he’s signed unannounced.

They will be on good wages absolutely, and I’ve no doubt Dallas will have been offered a very good deal. If that’s all we are prepared to pay then we draw the line. Im still hopeful he will sign.

OK , as I see it , if Dallas signs for a national league team it will more than likely be us. However, it seems his agent is trying to screw some more money out of us with the threat of having an offer on the table from an EFL club.

I think it’s pretty obvious Dallas had his eye on playing league football when he said he wasn’t signing a new deal at Solihull. If it wasn’t for his spell with us that he’s obviously enjoyed I don’t think we’d be in the mix.

It’s whether we can do a deal that convinces him to stay one more year at this level. If we can’t we move on and I’m sure it’s not a case of Dallas and no one else is being targeted.
