Similar sized club to us over the years, similar catchment. No resentment from me, though their stadium is rubbish. Their fans are going through what we did.
Still, I suppose it's fairer than the days of the old boys' club of re-election. Much as I dislike clubs like Fleetwood and Salford being bankrolled into the league, at least there is a pathway for more progressive clubs. Those that regress, like we did, quickly find themselves falling down the leagues.

Smaller club than us and traditionally poorly supported, they have been bankrolled in the past and have had more success than us. Looks grim for them now.

It was built from flat pack.
One of first smaller clubs to get a new stadium. Old Show Ground had better atmosphere

Yep i always remember it being one of the first new grounds as such. When you look at it on Google Maps its tucked in at the end of one street between a railway line and a retail park.....hardly a memorable setting!!

It must have initially been well thought off by some. A year or so after it opened, Walsall built a perfect replica. Walsall have obviously upgraded since though.

It was actually the first of the “new grounds” built for many years closely followed by Walsall.
