Just heard them belting out "Spireite till I die" yet again...great support for Chesterfield players yet again especially considering the crap that's been served up by them for the best part of this season?

Are you still telling the lads the fans are against them?

Cant see why any spireite would having anything against the players...it totally down to Rico and his clowns. Not even sure the players are even playing for him anymore sometimes. (Apart from no1 son Gregor)

I would just like to see Rico recognise the fans efforts for once (myself obviously not included say behind a friggin keyboard) instead of giving it the old cliche-fest interview.

Didn't appreciate Ward's comments in October about us being a "disgrace" either, but Rico's Baying Mob comment was disgusting considering that nobody (or at least i hope noboday) goes into Saltergate to see the other side win aside from the away fans.

Although I confess i think the first Droylsden game I felt guilty for not careing that they were winning as I thought it would be the end of Rico...now i realise that's not on the cards at all. Sadly.

Blimey dont think you will ever get anything out of Rico positive about the fans....his arrogance towards the supporters for me is one of his biggest problems.

Maybe a disregard that borders contempt for the customers is endemic within the Club.

To be fair though, on the few occasions i've met Lee Richardson he's been spot on.

He's just acknowledged the tremendous away support.

Well these were the six questions that supposedly made you sick...

1. Surely the penalty was the turning point in the game?
2. You must have been pleased with the performance that Chesterfield put in?
3. Perhaps the quality of the finishing was the difference between the two sides?
4. Great support from North Derbyshire?
5. And the players, how do they feel after this?
6. An ex pro sat next to me said that the neutral here wouldnt detect there was 51 places between the sides on the performances today.

Heard those questions on Radio Sheffield. Nothing wrong with them glad you prompted Rico to give the fans credit. I wasn't one of them but I know plenty who went. They deserve it for their troubles.

1. Wouldn't 'What do you think was the turning point?' have been better than offering an answer within the question?

2. Glib.

3. Again, wouldn't 'What do you think the main differences between the two sides were?' have been better than suggesting an answer within the question?

4. Obvious.

5. Glib.

6. Not a question, a complimentary statement.

Alternatively, what about:

"Well Lee, given that reaching this stage is an unexpected bonus, will you have any of the money to strengthen the squad?"

or

"An encouraging first forty five minutes Lee, but set against one win in ten and the Chairman's recent comments, what do you think the next few days hold for you?"

By the way, good to see you back on the board, Geoff. Not seen much of you over recent months.

If they are a Championship side you would never know it on that showing albeit they scored 3 times, like you said better finishing and this is why we must spend on a bit of quality ourselves before it is too late, please please ask Hubbard if he is going to do this,it is soul destroying watching us outplay a team for long periods and finishing up with nothing,if we lose Ward we are in trouble,Jack cannot do it on his own....

If he did, it would mean he has to accept HE is getting it wrong and shoulder the blame.
A new hope.

Don't know where they got a 1000 from the stewards were saying 1500-1600 there? Where there a lot of spaces in between as the away section held 1200 and they opened up the next section and moved the home fans?

The away end was full as far as I could see. 1000 seems well under the odds to me. More like 1500+.
