Why would you waste resources signing players now?

:D We've survived thus so far, so why expect a change now? Loanees are probably the best we can expect even if Wardy does go. Can't see a manager who is on his way out be allowed to sign anybody on any length of contract.

It wouldn't matter about new signings yet til 9th Jan because none would be eligible for tomorrow and our next match in 10th Jan.

No signings, well I'm hoping they don't allow this manager to make anymore - and maybe the fact that Richardson hasn't got anyone so far (although it's still early days)may mean at last his time is almost up.

I really don't want Rico to spend any money on players simply to slot them into his vision of how football should be played; BADLY!

Surely now as our season is effectively over, with only a very outside chance of the playoffs, is it really worth letting Richardson spend any money on players if he isnt going to be here next season. Other than getting a new keeper as cover and a striker, should Ward go, then I would say lets just ride the season out with what we have and let any spare money be spent by the new manager in the summer - or use it to subsidise the fall in attendances, which will inevitably happen whilever Richardson remains - whoever he signs.

If the right players are available surely it's better to bring them in and build ready for next season, than have to bring in almost a whole new side in the summer and get them settled in all at the same time.

Yes but surely it should be down to whoever is to be the manager next season to be picking the players he wants. If it is not to be Richardson, and I would have thought even he wouldn't think it was going to be, then why let him pick players that someone else might not want - his track record so far is not brilliant (Lester aside).
