Roy has invited him back for pre-season training so he can prove his worth for a contract.

Supposed to be coming back for pre-season to try and impress.

Mixed feelings about him myself. Looks skillful but at Swindon, for example, he never looked like beating his full-back or getting down the line.

He's no better than we've got already. Plus, he may well think he's far better than he actually is and has trouble applying himself by the sounds of it.

I think he was quality! Far better than what we have got! Want to know why? BECAUSE he actually runs into the box and gets there, all our other players go and stand in the corner!

He's young and inexperienced, that means he isn't going to play his best every week. Don't judge him on that one performance. I guess that you saw him play a few more times, what did you make of him based on the whole time that he was here?

For what its worth, what I saw on the pitch impressed me no end. He looked very direct, very dangerous and comitted. If its a case of whether his attitude is right, then I'll expect Roy to make the right call on that. We are a small club with a small squad and the last thing that we need is disruption in the dressing room. Lets hope that he gets his head down and shows us what he can do next season.

Surely worth a short term deal, 6 months?

Think about it, we need all the bodies we can get (within reason) and he looks like one who could definitely do a job for us.

he was like jcr in a way because he got the ball into the box when it was still at his feet instead of hoofing it in there

I think you're right about the attitude side of things. One or two things Roy has said suggest he needs to do a bit of sorting out off the pitch.

He's got some talent but after seeing him in a few games I'm just not convinced he's what we want. I suppose it will all depend on how he gets on in pre-season.

We should back Roy's judgement at the end of the day - he knows a good prospect when he sees one.

Not quite a JCR but could well be worth a year contract.....Paul Hall should sign soon, not so sure about Larkin though (he would be an asset even from them SC**B**S).

Trust in Roy he will have something up his sleeve when he returns.

Hope he's enjoyed his holidays.

I'd like us to give him a year - he'll be inexpensive in wage terms and is a left winger (Adam Smith is a Right winger who can play down the left). He was the difference for is when I came off the bench when I saw him. A little 'raw' but you'd expect that from youth/reserves to a div one game - BIG step.

Plus he'll know the players and this should improve his confidence and his mental state which is vital for any player.
