No and no basically, we have spent the summer trying to get the right players in for the managers favoured system, I agree the midfield is light, but as yet no reason to cock it all up by playing players out of position.

So we sign the most expensive striker in our history to lead the line and add a bit of muscle and you want to consider playing him in midfield pml. Square pegs square holes hopefully

O'grady's wages are irrelevant Ernie, he should play in whatever position is best for the team as a whole, so if he could do a better job for us in midfield why not play him there?
Didn't we sign Drew Talbot as a striker and then played him as a right back? Who do you think of our current strikers is a square peg or a versatile all rounder?

There is nothing in any of his playing career to suggest O'Grady would make a good midfielder....its a nonsense idea even forgetting the fact we're paying him top whack to be our main front man!! Up there with thinking Scott Griffiths would make a top class centre half!!

I think we should sign midfielders who are genuine midfielders and not try and convert someone from either the back or up front. O'Grady in midfield is laughable though

Tommy Lee? Hed make a good midfielder. Got a range of passing, not much gets past him and is pretty good at set pieces.

Exactly what sort of midfielder are you looking for from your point of view.

Somebody with quality and guile, similar to Gary Roberts.
Possibly Joe Rowley could do this, I'm not sure about Jordan Sinnott? General consensus of opinion seems to be that none of the strikers could or should fill that role so hope we sign somebody soon. Even if they are past their best but could come on say for half an hour and change the game.

I guess cost comes into this but I wonder where Roberts will end up.

Bet Cooky will be trying to take him to Wigan
