Another feature in the press this week for my lad, we are flying off to Cincinnati next week where he will be proudly representing the Town and secondly, the country.

If you see him pounding the streets or running up and down the hills in the Peak District over the next few days give him some words of encouragement, he's worked hard for this.

Good stuff.
What sort of training is he doing?
Loads of plyometrics?

He runs.... and runs... and runs.. approx 65 miles a week and yes he does lots of plyometrics.

The event is kind of all encompassing so his training regime is quite hard to keep track of but from experience in these events he believes running is the No 1 strength. He says "if you walk round the course, you aint going to win".
