There is a £2 fee when purchasing a season ticket on the new ticket portal.

Will there be fees when purchasing match day tickets next season on this portal?
Can someone from the club confirm please.

I’ll just pay at the club.

I thought Asante too unless he was talking about Kabby as well. He certainly seemed bitter about players “not bothered about turning out for us”

We had a number of long term injured, or ill, players and we know, at least 2 of them, Asante & Rowe, had to be paid off. Clarke’s niggles seemed to go on for ever whilst we know both Tshimanga and Carline suffered horrific injuries. The only other player I can remember being frequently absent was Gunning.

Of those, Tshimanga did make appearances after his injury and remained our leading goal scorer for a while in the season he was sold. No other player brought any fee into the club.

Oyeleke was an obvious one, left in summer 2023. He wouldn’t have been cheap.

Gunning left in the previous financial year so if you include him add Hollis

The list gets longer, thanks!!!

I don’t think Phil Kirk was being specific about which financial year but it does make you realise that we’ve had quite a hefty payroll cost sat in the stands.

By comparison, we’ve been relatively free of long term injuries this season and most players have been available for selection as and when required.

We've also used far less players from a smaller squad this season. Over the whole division we've used the least number of players in starting XI's (21) and least number overall (24) even beating Southend who spent most of the first half of the season with only 13/14 players!

As you say cant think of anyone in the squad who hasnt played a part at some point in the season really.

Apologies for the layout…rushed it!

Nice summary.
They also said that they were looking at improving the scran.

I asked afterwards about the artificial pitch project on Stand Road. It's being held up by delays in getting pipework sorted. It is still seen as a 'game changer' both in terms of revenue and community asset.

Phil Kirk in particular seems very “on the ball” regarding what needs doing and when. Found it interesting that he could both complement the Trust in how they managed to get rid of the previous owner, and recognise the “community” work they do, but also criticise their business acumen. Stopped short of saying they hadn’t a clue, but reading between the lines I don’t think they wanted to take control as quickly as this, but felt they had to.

I think the lack of major injuries is partly down to the rotation system meaning players with little niggles or illness can be rested knowing that whoever is replacing them can equally do a great job.

Oh…and I also overheard a rumour from a good source that Halifax away has been made all ticket, and they will be sent to us to sell (yeh I know). And York are considering giving us just their West stand, but not the usual away (North stand) to appease their fans.

Think this is right. Club shop have told us York tickets are having to be sent back to York and resent.

For a football club AGM, I thought it was one of the better ones. Obviously the season that we've had helped, as did Phil Kirk's input on the night.

For far too many years, our club was the victim of gross mismanagement on the pitch and in the boardroom. As things stand, we have a leader and a winner in Paul Cook and I feel that Phil Kirk is from similar stock. In my time of supporting the club, I don't recall us having that sort of influence both in the dressing room and in the boardroom.

Too many of us fell out love with the club in recent years and it does feel special to witness and be part of this journey.

I do have concerns that our aim of breaking-even keeps getting kicked down the road and what the landscape might look like should the Kirks' lose interest, but right at this moment in time they appear to be enjoying it as much as we do.

As I see it we're in a fortunate position, enjoy it.

Agree with all that. We are indeed lucky to have the current incumbents we have.
It’s long time ahead yet, but I wonder how additional investors would fit in?
A conundrum for the Trust. They are sat with shares in CFC at a value of over £5M. What’s the fair value now they only have a 15% shares? Presumably a lot less than £5M - especially if the Kirks subscribe for further shares in the future.

Last I saw on Twitter from York trust suggested they weren’t happy with the decision but nothing was being changed for this one after the original decision has been made

Looks to be some convoluted structure with the football club, actual owners/operators of the stadium etc all involved.

Surprised no one asked when Paul Cook's contract is to be renewed.

Surely the most important renewal of all...
