Not sure why there's so many worried about trouble lol. It's a Thursday night, rearranged at short notice, almost means nothing to Oldham, it's miles away from where it was meant to be played.

Will be way more at our kit launch

Almost being the operative word.
Halifax, Southend and Aldershot have tricky final games and if they lose those, and Oldham win both of their remaining games (one being Halifax) then if my maths are right, they pinch the last play off spot.
Long shot yes, but still a shot.
Also, what must the owner of Oldham be thinking regarding Mellon's post match Oxford City interview.
Basically hung the players out to dry but still in with a shout of play off spot.
Disgraceful management

Unless a load of town donuts turn up there’s no need for any agro- Halifax are what they are, a small non league football club from a small rugby town. I doubt they will bring 600 “home” fans for this.

Oldham are pretty much done, what’s the appeal of travelling to chesterfield to play someone who isn’t chesterfield? I doubt they would bring more than Halifax

It’s national league game played on a convenient pitch - may as well be stand road
A new hope.

Yep, the hysteria is pretty funny to be fair.

More chance of a punch up at the trophy parade if we keep getting beat

Yes you are probably right re the punch up bit. Pity the powers that be tend to disagree otherwise neutrals would have had the opportunity to attend if they were so minded.

The thing that irks is its oldham and all the Bunkum we've had over the last couple of years from the 'Hopegate' saga to the ticketing at their place but if they sneak into the play offs by 1 point gained through the actions of their yobs it will be an absolute travesty.

Oldham path to the playoffs has got narrower as Aldershot are beating 10 man Gateshead and an outfield keeper in goal. Must be down to about 1%

Strangely Gateshead fielded what looks to me like a much weaker team tonight - I'd have thought they'd target this one rather than ours.

I think they probably fancy themselves against anyone in the 4 to 7 spots so saving players for the full on business end.
They've guaranteed play offs so nowt to loose I suppose on this game

Been to loads all over europe but each time i've purchased a ticket via the home club that was playing at their normal home ground. This hosting of Halifax is slightly different in that we are letting them use the ground and Halifax are the "home" team who will be sorting the ticket sales. I wouldnt expect us to get involved in any ticket sales as the game is nothing to do with us and its down to the "home" team to facilitate ticket sales. Halifax dont appear to have an online ticket portal so they can only sell tickets in person, we have no option for pay on the gate as our turnstiles are unmanned so no option for pay on the day as Halifax wont want to get involved with selling via our ticket windows so no sales on the day seems perfectly sensible.

They are not really comparable games to this one. Two foreign teams and we would sell the tickets for it.

So it's ok to watch a game if there is a home side and an away side but not at neutral venues. Like Halifax v Oldham or FA cup semis and finals, World cup or Euro games as they are all played at neutral venues.
