Just as a little cautious optimism was creeping back into the supporters hearts of our beloved club, CFC top brass does what they do so well, they prick that bubble! The David Brooks debacle is covered extensively in another thread. Suffice it to say that we were being sold the dream of getting a raw but exciting talent into our ranks only to find out that the deal hadn't been tied down at all. The mood turns sour again and talk of us dropping out of the league re-surfaces. The only way to rescue the situation (apart from selling the club which ain't happening) is to get the midfielder and striker in that we all know we need. So come on Mr Carson, tell the owner we have to make these investments and instruct Guy B and Gary C to get these signings over the line this week. It's a big week CFC, show that you at least mean business. It's the only way to put the Brooks thing behind us

very much agree with you. can't afford anymore mess ups now. we've had the donal U-turn, the brooks U-turn, the o'grady thing dragging on and on... yes we've made signings and some of them look good one's but we are short of having a challenging team for league 2 at this point.

Can we rely on anyone asking the owner anything and even if he did the owner will probably not release the finance to cover it.
