Interesting, but which position do we most need to fill?
Ideally, for me, it's a left-sided attacking player who can also play up top. So, height, pace, and the capability of putting the ball in the onion bag.

I heard on the radio (5 live) that a few ex premiership players are training with a non league club, Unlikely to be with us!

Several!
Given that Pemberton said he doesn't like number 10s, I suggest we see if any other clubs are interested in Rowley or Mandeville, perhaps on loan, to free up some of our budget.

Lewis Ritson, Hull City centre half under 23 captain, now without a club.

The last young centre half we recruited from Hull wasn’t too bad.

It would be great if this kid could replace Evans but I fear he will want a club higher up.

I’m not saying I know he’s any good, just that there must be a lot like him, without matches to play, without a team yet once rated as good enough to sign for an upper tier club.
PS - further research says he might be at Whitby now, but I can’t find confirmation.

If I could think of a number for McKay I'd suggest we don't need one. He's older than the two you mention but I struggle to see he is more likely to get game time over them.

We don’t have a right sided winger though do we? Pemberton has spoken about squad balance but we’ve still got Rowley and Mandeville who are typically 10’s which he’s said he dislikes and no proper wingers. Squad still looks unbalanced to me.
