It's about engaging with fans. It's the close season and it's fairly quiet. Everyone has their views on what is good and bad on matchdays, surely it's the best time to ask for people for their opinions so that feedback can be passed to the club and maybe improvements done in time for the start of the season.
That makes perfect sense to me for reporting things that aren't working right or could be improved.
I also think though, that there are other certain types of suggestions that could go out as a vote on twitter / Facebook as soon as you receive them. That way you'd be able to gauge opinion from a larger section of fans if they think its a suggestion worth pursuing, then discuss at the fans forum how to move the idea forward.

Only issue with that idea is that opposition fans could sabotage the polls

Maybe email that through as a suggestion then. Don't worry, it can be done anonymously and there's only the chair and co-chair that have access to the emails (I'm neither).
However I think that's probably the point of the open drop in sessions (also on YouTube), so people can discuss what has been brought up via email and hold the club accountable for following up when necessary.

Who the hell would admit to drinking Newcastle Brown?
Yorkshire is Yorkshire
Never the twain shall meet.

We never actually drunk that, the lads that used to sing that song had usually had a good belly full of Mansfield Ale in the old social club and we didn’t think it was appropriate to mention them in a song.

"Mansfield Marksman" always seemed a misrepresentative name and one to avoid.

Isnt that the whole point of the supporters forum?
Surely the forum is completely pointless if your advice is to email the club about issues?

But it was cheap and it compares favourably to what gets served in the concourse these days.

She's not telling people to email the club about issues, she's telling them to email the Fans Forum Email who will then bring the issues up at the forum but that then they will be on record and will be followed up if nothing has been done to resolve such issues. Basically the Fans forum are acting like the select committees for Government and holding the clubs feet to the fire!

Not entirely sure what you don't understand.
The email ISN'T to the club. It's to the supporters forum. It is an official way of recording issues. It means that there is a paper trail and it holds the club accountable to the supporters forum.
Instead of people moaning on social media, put it in an email. It's no more difficult to do.

Does that mean an email query can be resolved before the next meeting by a delegated committee person, and the outcome relayed at the meeting?
