Good. Like the lad. Raw potential (pun and sic). Score a sh*t load for the Alfs then come bak full of confidence for the club he loves...

Sam Hird back from a ban has scored for Barrow, and to think someone on here thought he was finished!

Goal machine Paul McGinn strikes again for Hibs, this time against incapable former loanee Ryan Fulton.

The Sky pundit watching the Fulham v Barnsley fixture identified Brown as looking a threat for Barnsley throughout the game,

Who’d have thought that a couple of years ago when with us?

But how old was he at the time.
God I hate this league.

The Jacob Brown who had a loan spell with us has just provided a great assist to enable Stoke City to equalise in their League Cup tie with Spurs tonight

Both Bowery and Charlie Carter have a brace today.
Edit. Hat trick for Jordan now.

At least it was against Vale, a club I dislike more than Mansfield.

Quite a few on here were determined to not give Sam Hird any credit. IMO he was a consistently good player for us.

Think it was only one in particular, 'Soph'.

A well known troll scapegoating Hird and Evatt to deflect from a regime he repeatedly defended.

The majority will remember both making a huge contribution to the success we enjoyed, though. Not to mention Evatt foregoing bonuses when the Club was skint. And Hird knuckling down and earning a new deal.

I wish both well.

As for Bowery, not sure why there should be any rancour. We sold him for far more than anyone thought we'd get and if Mr Mid-life Crisis went big for his signature then fair play to the lad. Took quite a bit of staglet stick for his Town connections, too.

All that really matters is we're back to plucking others' better players...

Sam started poorly, but improved massively to become one our most consistent and cultured players. Cook even took him off the transfer list and offered him a new contract.

There was only man who refused to acknowledge this turn around.
A new hope.

Aaron Chapman continues to play shockingly for Motherwell, which surprises me as I thought he was a good League Two/average League One keeper. Conceded a couple of shockers in the Lanarkshire derby v Hamilton and the Steelmen seemingly can’t wait for the return from injury of former Spireite Trevor Carson.
These go to eleven.

Jordans 3rd was a decent finish from a very good back-to-front move by Mansfield.

Reminded me of some of our goals under Cook, played out from the back drawing the opposition out, creating the space to exploit.

Yes, agreed. I watched his goal last week, he knew little of it, hit him rather he hit it. Watched his goals this weekend, and he looked supremely confident, especially side footing the penalty home. He also looks a lot stockier than I remember him here.
