Delighted to read that next season all 18 first class counties will compete to win the County Championship. In my view this is how it should be be. Alas, it may be for only one season as a return to the two divisions is still an option.

The traditionalist in me would he happy for counties to play between 24 and 30 3 day games all over the place as they used to.
When was the last season that teams weren’t obligated to play a set number of games?
