I'm just waiting for the Meltdown when we realise we're back in the Football League Trophy and League Cup, playing more games than when we played with just the League, FA Cup & FA Trophy and duty bound to play a significant percentage of first teamers instead of the U21's against Premier League U21 teams. At least we don't need to play before R1 in the FA Cup though..

Drop one game in the fa cup, likely a couple of league cup games at the most but potentially just one game and yes you do have to play a number of “first team” players in the efl trophy but you can still mix it up to an extent resting some and that can change each game in the trophy. Is it 3 efl trophy group games?

The Welling game was 1 of 4 games in 10 days.
We'd just lost to Solihull, and they'd also gave us a major scare at home.
Things were still tight at the top.

The amount of money the Kirk's HAD to inject in October 2023, meant promotion was essential. You know full well that the club was still spending well above it's income.It needed promotion.

Winning a cup at the potential sacrifice of our league status? Not for me.

Solihull and Gateshead both beat us in the league.

We've been in abysmal form for yhe past 12 games. What on earth makes you think had we beaten Welling, that we would have won the FA Trophy?
