Early signs look promising

Looks committed, hard tackling, quick and a neat passer

Perhaps those Vale fans were just bitter

thought the same.

dont want to get to carried away but very pleased with him - could hold the ball up in the midfield for us.

Liked him very much, thought he was very good today. Not afraid to get stuck in and very comfortable on the ball.

Absolutely immense today, as was Kerry. And dare I say it, for the first time in years, today we looked like we had a very capable midfield who moved the ball, worked tirelessly for each other and created. Great effort from the mid four.

Seemed to me to be the best signing by LR. Not a name player, or one with a reputation, but he did a cracking job.
A new hope.

Death,

What about the aerial battle, according to SW we lost it in the first half.

How similar / disimilar is Harsely to Allott?

I hope Harsley builds on this game and becomes one of our best players. I thought he'd be good for us when he was signed despite a few people doubting him

In the middle we did lack height, but then with Page and Austin at the back, nothing got past them in the air. Once the ball was on the ground they bossed it.

The player is nothing like Allot to be honest. Gets stuck in, with well timed tackles, AND could use the ball as well. Not defence splitting passes, but used the ball well to spread it wide to either the RM/LM or the full backs, which ever was the better option.

He is more like a niven type who gets stuck in, but can read the game AND pass the ball. If You combined Winter and Niven, then from the one game I would say that is Harsley.
A new hope.

He looks a cracking acquisition (spelling?) but Page looked Immense to me. Page has to be Rico's best pre-season signing.
He looks like he could be the best centre half I've seen at town since since Duncan had Breckin, Dyche and Williams. Including Blathers.
This week, I have been mostly... drinking excessively

Couldn't understand the critics with Harsley in pre season as when he was on the ball he used it effectively from what i saw and kept possession. He was wrote off way to early by some

As solid as I've seen for ages. His positioning is superb and he doesn't seem flusterred. I genuinely think keeping him fit at the back will be equally as important as keeping Jack fit up front.

I can't remember the last time I was as impressed by someone making their debut.

He'll give Jack a run for POTS.

What about Allegro, he's come in for some stick pre season?
