I'd steer well clear for several reasons, though not all football-related.
We need someone with a physical presence who'll hold the ball up and bring those around him into the game. Someone who'd also buy us time when we're under the cosh. Qualities I personally never really saw in Luke Beckett.

Huddersfield
We've tried to sign him twice since he left to my knowledge.
The most recent, he met with Rico and Roy Mac at the Ibis at Barlborough before signing for Huddersfield instead.
I'd have loved him back a couple of years ago but i doubt he ever would come back and who can blame him.

A deal is there to be done for a Club that can afford him.

Not worth pushing the boat out for. That's why he's kicking his heels up there...

That combination of him and Bishop up front now looks quite tidy. Still lets hope they get no service on Saturday.

Didn't he agree personal terms over a move to York but Huddersfield wouldn't agree to pay him up.
Although, if he's happy to join York, he can't be that interested in League football or think he's capable anymore?

He's approaching 34. Blackpool offered him a contract extension at the end of last season but it looks like he has done a "Currie" and accepted a longer term contract with more opportunities to play at Bury. He has nothing like a strike rate of 1 in 2. 78 goals in 186 starts plus 99 substitute appearances (League only). Potentially a useful player at this level but maybe we need a few more lads rather than dads at this stage.
