Humphreys is registered as a player, Maguire is a left sided defender and Daley is a left sided defender / midfielder yet all 3 were overlooked today

DW sees them in training so he must have his reasons for overlooking them. LG starting was an eyebrow raiser

Terrible management or terrible senior management.
DW has been in the game long enough to know what's required but if the budget isn't there for the additions then you can't add.

I'm not sure but the need for a recognised left back was greater than the need for Anderson or Wilkinson (at the time) in my opinion.

DanNY is blaming the result on missed chances though he can't ignore the fact that we conceded twice and we shouldn't be expected to score 2 away to get a point. He made the point that there will be inconsistencies with the players we have - or as he put it "up and down like a bride's nightie" 😆

Anderson has been a superb addition.

I know mate, that's why I said at the time. I meant in my opinion a left back was a higher priority regardless of how well Anderson or Wilkinson go on to do.

Anderson was a good move as he is better than Evo now. Wilkinson and Dennis may be good signings too. But Ched is straight back in on Tuesday if fit.

You would have to say that we were tempting fate with the way the squad was set up and the end of the transfer window

Still listening to 2nd half we sounded like we fritted away opportunity after opportunity

This season is just a season of getting it over with as soon as possible from all at the club it would seem. There will only be very limited inward movement in January. We appear as a club just to be waiting for a lot of the bigger contracts to be up next year and then I think Danny will majorly overall the squad, to have very little resemblance to now.

Agree completely mate..it just goes back to the complete lack of football know how from the powers that be..including our expert footballing CEO..on managing the situation after Cooks departure..the appointment of Saunders and the subsequent free spending, overseen by certain people, will long live in the memory as crass stupidity.

Don't you think he was actually of the mind that we should have scored our second and made it 2-1 in our favour?

Then, his game plan would have been more about taking the points home rather than ultimately chasing the game.

Yes of course but the fact we couldn't defend a cross is what left us with nothing. How many should we have to score away to get a point?

Talking of Saunders, I'm sure his record after 9 games last season is equal to our current tally and by that time, we had already played Sheff U, Barnsley, Millwall, Wigan, Coventry & Burton.

In fairness to Danny, at least for the majority of the time, we look like we actually know what we're trying to achieve.

DW is just hamstrung for the rest of the season by the mistakes of the past. We're paying one useless lump to play for Shrewsbury, and Martinez will most likely never play for us again.

Our best eleven are a decent side. But the squad is a joke.

Though why he brings Gardner on is a mystery to me.

As it stands small fee. He has to be playing and scoring freely for us to make anything substantial and at the minute he is doing neither.

Good point

He has done nothing so far to suggest he was worth the bother

Gardner needs to wake and smell the roses. He came on and single handedly messed things up by giving the ball away. Ariyibi the same , I they'd stop pussy-footing around. It was the wingers what done it!
