They are a premier league outfit and probably have paid a lot of money,it's a business decision,I'm sure a pitch can handle the games

Another qualified groundsman.

Does that mean all the ones who are saying they shouldnt play on it are equally qualified, or just so blind to the fact they want the best players and the best team - which costs money - that you have to make adjustments elsewhere to provide it...

Unless of course they are subsidising the losses in which case they can make the decision...

WHY?, if anyone else, surely it should be CFC Ladies, keep the deedahs where they belong.

Ladies will bring in zero revenue

Blades will be paying, maybe enough to get the Dallas deal over the line

Not posted anything about the pitch being up to taking the extra games because I’m not a qualified groundsman, some have posted it won’t be a problem so I am assuming that they are qualified.

Well let our youth team or ladies play on it, I dislike us effectively promoting another club on our own patch

It promotes our facilities perhaps just as the England matches do but I can't see how it promotes Sheff Utd. Do you think some Town fans will switch allegiance?

As someone else has said the pros and cons need explaining, with decisive management needed to minimise any potential cons. Our groundsman must have the final say on pitch management.

I think a reason we are getting decent crowds and a feel good factor as high as its been for years, possibly ever is because the community are behind the club which feels like it belongs to the town, decisions like this undermine this good work in my opinion.

We got 1,100 recently for a ladies match at the stadium, yes it was free but the attendance dwarfed what the Blades fixtures ever drew which were free for their season ticket holders.

If it brings in some cash and we're not training on it this time I don't see a problem. Plenty of stadiums around the country are multi-use.

So the pitch might be perfectly fine? And after that its just a heart thing, do we want the money more than we dislike Sheff U being on our pitch? They are prem league now, its not like they are rivals. We should foster the relationship until we are closer in the league again....

I'm assuming our qualified groundsman has given it the go ahead, as I'm not qualified.

In my book, the fact that Sheffield don’t want their own U21 spoiling their own pitch gives the game away.

I’m sure we’ll be told the commercial arrangements so we can judge cost/benefits

I'm assuming that those businessmen we have on board, you know the ones being lauded for bringing much needed business acumen, whilst also being spireites through and through, have looked at all the facts and made a balanced decisions taking all things into account....

After all, its a business and we want business decisions dont we...?

I’ve no idea if the pitch will hold up to the extra games or not so that’s why I refrain from saying it will or it won’t instead of making assumptions.

On the contrary, you've made the assumption that it won't.

Why? They have £160m extra in their bank account, they may be able to use the facilities at Bramall Lane for other activities on days when the games would be played to raise more money or to better effect now they are in Prem League...

Must remember to ask Sainsburys the commercial deals on the stuff I buy tonight in that case.... isnt that the same? You are customers of the club, not a director or an owner and have no right to commercial data in just the same way as you dont for your shopping!

PS if you have a few shares that makes you an owner but not enough to be involved in the running...

Well if the information isn’t available to the likes of you or me we’ll just have to guess the cost/benefit, but please don’t spout your usual business acumen tripe

Training on it was the decision of that stupid fool.

Playing games on it is no issue.

Not in Sheffield apparently unless they are hosting rugby or American football
