I reckon Moyes would be the perfect fit for them just now.

He failed at Sunderland and I reckon would fail at Newcastle too.
These go to eleven.

Who ever gets it no matter what there calibre they won't get anywhere whilst Mike Ashley is there. Chris Houghton seems best out of a bad bunch of candidates. Mind early days yet and th we names are just been picked out by bookies as they fit that level and are available. It's bound to be someone out of work or at a club in division below. Why would howe leave Bournemouth or dsyche leave burnley to go to a poison Challis of a club why may be getting sold.

Cant help but think its a lot to do with the transfer ban they've got, do they feel they are unlikely to attract a bigger name with it. Potentially its the best time for Lampard to go there as well...he'll get some leeway from fans because its him and lower expectations with them not being able to sign anyone. Maybe they are just fed up with one "big" name manager after another lasting about a season and then it all falling apart for whatever reason.

Not sure the " Abramovich Generation " of fans have the capability to " lower their expectataion "

Maybe Chelsea are going to have to give young English players more of a chance with the embargo and that's where lampard comes in. Maybe a bit too soon, a season or two at derby would have bedded him in better as well as a promotion with them to get him premier League experience. If he went there it would be Chelsea's first manager from UK since hoddle over 20 year ago. With seemingly the most English managers in the top flight in years maybe things are changing after years of continentals dominating the league.

On the contrary, that explains it entirely.

Either stories of senior players complaining about his training methods convinced the 'Powers That Be' to line someone else up, or the new bloke represented an opportunity they just had to grab.

I'm guessing MO'N will be sat by a pool somewhere counting his pay-off, though...

Same press release wasn't it?

Took me by surprise to see pre-season underway today. Alfreton v Forest this afternoon.

It’ll be funny to see him dump on the ‘Wensdeh’ if he goes go. He seems to have been there weeks rather than months.
