Yes I would agree with that. I wonder if loanee lethargy is creeping in with Yarney and Chapman? Seem to be going through the motions a bit of late. Interestingly JS still a little guarded in his praise for Tom Denton in the pitchside TV interviews after the game. I would think a lot of teams in the National League would be very happy with the complementary pairing of Boden and Denton up front. We didn’t look as dangerous after Tom was replaced by Fortune. Denton must have moved from bench impact sub to being in the starting line-up now? Credit due to JS for finding a style that maximises Denton without lumping high balls to him in no mans land without support around him.

I'd love to see a strong mobile scorer signed with TD as an option.

Not sure it was some massive secret to find....its been mentioned on here already that for Denton to be more of a threat he needed better service either in the build up or in terms of balls into the box and also that when he was winning headers we needed to get folk closer to him. Previously he would win a header but there was no one with 20yds of him whereas now he has Boden plus the likes of Carter and Rowley getting closer to him.

Exactly, it's fairly obvious that when you have a giant CF who isn't particularly mobile, you must have a) accurate delivery to him, and b) more mobile players running off him. The acquisition of Boden has made a huge difference, as he's the cleverest forward we've had for ages. Sutton just couldn't handle the pair of them, and they will cause big problems for most teams in this league.

Yeh, Yarney and Chapman seem to have gone backwards since promising debuts. Chapman in particular seems to nesh out of tackles and looks disinterested for large parts of the game.
MAF...well....for someone who has played at the highest level, his 1st touch is dreadful.....couldn’t control a 2 year old toddler...

Poor kid. It hasn't worked out for him here but I sincerely hope he plays again.

Wonder what that'll mean in terms of his contract. He has a 2nd year option, van see him being on much.

Surely the option can be exercised by the club rather than being the player's choice?
These go to eleven.
