Knows where the net is. Been there and done it and streetwise. That will do for me. A striker I have admired since his Scunny days.

Dont disagree he is a good signing but getting Grigg and Naylor last season was as good, potentially better.

The signing of Madden proves that Paul Cook knows how to sell Chesterfield FC

He's one of those players I always hated seeing in the opposition line-up. Stockport fans disappointed to see him leave. Lovely stuff.

Gonna have to agree with WS…. Shudder 😂

Outstanding signing for us. One of the players you always remember playing for the opposition because he was either so good, so niggly or so much in the refs ear.

Well done CFC.

Yep, it strikes me a bit like the signing of Jack Lester back in the day where it was length of contract more than anything….and that one worked out ok!!

Stockport thought he was good enough for L1, Which is where he will be for his final year, albeit a little older.

What I like about Madden is that nastiness streak you need to be successful and get the job done. It's not a tea party.

Madden is the sort of player we haven’t had for quite a number of years now, probably since Lester or Doyle, a striker with a bit of pace that can nick you a 1-0 in a tight game.

Was he offered a one year deal and turned it down?

Can't see Cook playing both him and Grigg in the same team. And presumably this knocks Quigley further down the pecking order. Surely he will have to be loaned out?
