    “Heartbreak for the Moors….”

    Oh well.

Don’t usually dislike teams (we all have decent fans) but for Solihull I make an exception due to their board, manager, team and tactics.

    Sbarra anyone?

Sbarra is a good player at NL level as has Conn-Clark proved to be. Both are on the small side too. Maybe, Sbarra would be a cheaper option and could provide competition on the right side of midfield.

Somebody younger, taller and faster 🤔, has Tom Denton got a son with potential 😁.

All I can say is that if he does have a son he might be younger and taller but I’m getting close to my 80th and I reckon I could still be faster.

A striker with pace who scores goals for fun will get a contract with a club higher up than us. We could always give Andy Dallas a call👎. Unless we can find a diamond in the rough, then I think someone like Billy Sharpe would be good alternative to Will Grigg. He'll have his bus pass now and I'm sure he's eligible for senior citizens rates at Dobbies,so we may get him on the cheap 😁.

I’m not sure Sharp does cheap but if he is prepared to come for very low wages it could be worth considering.

He’s never been one of my favourite players but neither was Jack Lester until he played for us.

However, I think we might be eyeing somebody younger, taller and faster.

Any town player who has scored for us against the stain is elevated to hero status,in my opinion of course..

That’s quite a long schedule which includes the likes of Gareth Davis, Joe Rowley, Steve Payne and many more on the forgotten list.

I’ve no problem with an inexpensive gamble whatsoever, but this 22 man squad size concerns me. Bailey Hobson is 21 so not sure if he might not count? If he does count as part of the 22 then he’d be a big no from me if we want to do anything next season. Nothing against him but space doesn’t allow it. Drummond is 24 so he’d definitely be part of the 22.

Bailey Hobson was 22 on 1st August 2023 I believe. So, he was 21 before 1st January 2024 and counts towards our 22 man squad of outfield players. I tend to think he could perform as the “one” if needed and possibly better than Berry.

Thanks for talking about the team and the football. It seems to be the last thing most of them are interested in, but 'twas ever thus.
Look forward to some more interesting discussions it the mods get a bit more selective about relevance in threads.
