Have we only got nine players still under contract after 30th June and, if so, who are they?
If they include the injured Coddington and Maguire then that would mean we would only have a team of seven able to play if the season went into July and some clubs could be in a far worse position making it a mockery.

Permanent players are trickier as they have legal contracts, but I suspect month to month deals could become very popular for teams below the Prem until some form of normality is restored.

On the basis that CFC, who have a large squad compared to some teams in this league, could possibly be left with just 7 fit players under contract month to month deals might be an answer.
But then, wouldn't players be free to move each month to the club offering the most attractive package. Bare in mind at some clubs in this league players contracts cease at the end of April and this could make them free agents anyway.
So, the remaining part of the season could be played out with variable squads and teams promoted or relegated based on playing players they had not had on their books for the first 80%, or more, of the season but would have had for the whole season if it had ended under normal circumstances. To me, that's not fair competition and the wrong answer.
