No problem if the downs can be enjoyed. Really?

Interesting communes about our lack of speed and conditioning.
Have stated the same for a long time on here.
It's something we have always done very poorly in relative terms.
Mal Purchase has a decent pedigree but doesn't seem to be working at Town. We haven't had a player with any decent perceived pace for a while now and seemingly certainly not worked on it?

Signing kids gives the opposition a distinct advantagewhen they come up against seasoned pros.
Playing with 10 men didn't help.

I have to disagree, we were completely out played, they were playing it at a stroll.

And, there's me thinking Gboly gas a bit of pace.
On top of which our central midfield pairing of Liddle & Nolan has more mobility than recent combinations in that role.
The only area of the team lacking pace not just this season but in recent seasons past is central defence.
Looking forward, I am sure Danny is fully aware of this but his hands are tied with the contracts handed out by his predecessors. There are some big contracts coming to an end this season and reference has already been made to this.
I believe these not only include SEB but Evatt, Jones, Hird and Angel.

The only area?
Really?
Ariyibi is I agree pretty quick-if I was to be a bit of a technical bore (as is my want) he has good natural leg speed but would benefit when he moves from some biomechanical work at his new club. (Speed comes from movement against a force- he is very 'tip toe' with not enough force produced against the ground)- he has obviously worked on his physical size as looks bigger in his upper body- often this is the case as perceived easier to do than work on speed

Wish we could have Shinner back.

Reference made to big contracts by the person who erm...sanctioned said contracts I'd imagine. Or it's another area were the CEO doesn't know what's happening. We can keep skirting around the money losses by selling players, and with Boli and Evans we may be ok for a few months more but ultimately until we get the right people to financially manage the club in the right places then we will always just blunder on.
I still can't believe the "development centre is running at great profit" line when clearly it wasn't. And yet we are supposed to believe what he says in his role as CEO...I'm just staggered about it all, because we are so deep in the financial mire it's frightening.
