I've said this numerous times. Played in the striker role against Rochdale last season in the JPT - very strong in front of goal and useful in the air. Definitely an option when fit

As good as any, I think. It's so disappointing that this kind of thing is being debated before the season even starts, it's the sort of thing that should only rear it's head in - say - February, during an injury crisis.

And I reckon Evo looks sharp when he went up top last season, so there is another option

Wonder if someone at Rotherham said last year at this time 'I reckon we could see a lot of goals from Kieron (Agard) this season'. 'Oh, I see' says Mr MadMiller sceptic type 'so you're telling me a guy who only scored 6 goals in 33 appearances last season will score over 20 goals this next season? Leave it out'
He finished with 26 in all competitions.
Or a Scott Hogan, never played League Football- scores 17 league goals in 29 starts (+4 as sub) for Rochdale.

At least they are genuine strikers. Not a CM being thrown up top. Bad goals to game ratio/inexperienced or not.
FWIW I agree that OB could do a job but again it should have never come to this.

Well used in that role,of in the hole, supporting the striker last season.Had a decent return to begin with then dried up a bit then of course came the injury. It'll be good to have such a player back in the squad and give the manager options and hopefully a selection headache.

Neither is in fact. Both regarded as winger/strikers by their club's websites.
Per Hogan himself: Scott describes himself as a versatile player, saying he is comfortable playing in a number of positions.
He said he enjoys the challenge of taking people on and running at defenders and thinks he has a good all round game.
"I played all over the place at Rochdale last year; I played out wide, I played as a number 10, I played up front on my own, I played up front as part of a two and a three," said Scott.

I agree. Gardner is more of a CF than Banks. Ollie best dropping off. I'd like to see Dan have a go up top.

No he didn't he played as part of a three behind the main striker, the fact he is good enough to link up play behind the striker shows how good he is as an attacking option.
