What I have said though, repeatedly and consistently, is Begum, like the equally stupid white lad, should face a judge. A British court. With facts and figures presented by qualified lawyers. A jury to decide what crimes she's committed. Then if found guilty an appropriate sentence.

The same justice as all those who side with terrorists should face.

Is that too much to ask? A fair trial? Isn't such civilised behaviour what separates us from those who'd drag society back two thousand years?

Well nearly a year since this topic was commented on Begum once again loses her latest appeal at being allowed back into the country with the appeal judge being quite adamant that the original decision is both safe and correct and the government does have a right to uphold national security. Also a cpl of legal sorts on SN also said they couldn’t see where her legal team could could ever change the decision and that the only way they could see her allowed back into the UK would be by government involvement and a major reversal of current policy. Now being as she won’t be allowed to return during this political term it will be interesting to see if this thread reappears again under a probable Labour government and if any decisions are different.
