I cannot understand why this man gets a game, one of the worst players I have seen in a town shirt for many years, I’m happy to be proven wrong but can anyone tell me one of his attributes because I’m struggling to think of one?

He’s scored this season, is that an attribute?

Clearly good in the air but he struggles with the high line Cook wants him to play. While it was quiet at Alty all you could hear was "higher Ash". You can tell he wants to drop off 5 yards but Cook wants him to play the high line so instead we see him losing pace battles over the top (although today's was even more worrying as he was just beaten in a foot race).

I did quite like him at first but ultimately I don't think he fits Cook's style and would prefer Williams or Freckleton to come in

Not really sure why there is a need for this post. It’s obvious as can be that his replacement has already been signed.

How many goals against has he been responsible for? Definitely more than 1, he is really poor.

He’s struggled in recent weeks l. Everyone knows that, he as much as anyone. No need for a thread to hammer him though imo.

Understand everyone's frustration but c'mon guys. We are joint top of the League on pts. Its not as if we are down at the bottom struggling in a relegation battle like previous seasons in this League. Lets give the lads a break. We have got to trust in Cook to sort the defence out. Agree with Westbars - Do we really need a thread to hammer players who are having a drop in form, especially when we are joint top.

He needs taking out of the firing line for a bit but he’s nowhere near as bad as some are suggesting. He’s been very poor in a few moments at time this season granted but let’s not go over the top.

Apart from his lack of pace his control of the ball is also iffy. Seems to need 5 yards to control and then decide where and when he needs to pass the ball
Yes he’s scored a goal but that’s not the main reason he’s supposed to be a key defender in the team.
And let’s face it most of the threads could be considered offering advice or hammering - usually both but fair enough as supporters
Do we not have a right to express an opinion ?

He has a mistake in him every game, which normally results in a goal, on current form, he should not get in the team. I really hope he has an upturn in form as I want him to do well but I just can’t see it.

Correct but it’s a Bobs Board thing. There has to be someone to target.

I noticed there’s a few that can’t wait to get stuck in to Jacobs, the 1866 man of the match.

Can you honestly say he hasn’t cost us goals? Nothing to do with a scape goat, he has clearly been at fault.

He has cost us goals and he’s scored them. But he’s our player and it gets a bit cringy for me when Bobs Board has a pile on.

How many goals has he scored to how many he has cost? I just think his best days are behind him, I just feel Williams is better, not by much but he’s better.

He’s like most of the team, pace his is short coming and in the defense you get exposed.
God I hate this league.

I’ll be as kind as possible and say I wasn’t aware that 1866 has priority nor ability to decide who was MOTM when they’re sitting on the fence every week like all those conducting pre and post-match interviews

No one wants to tackle the management because they want to stay on the right side for the wrong reasons
