Cook's Frustrations

Genuinly think the Manager knew we would do really well and compete but just needed one or two new additions to really 'balance the squad'.
Underneath, even taking into account the terrific performances we have produced I don't think he has got over it. He just seems a little bit more angry this season, maybe I am wrong its just the perception I get.
What I do worry is that although he is a top top bloke, if Gary Rowett even taking his connection to Birmingham can be highly thought off, it is pretty obvious that somebody in the near future will come knocking for his services.
I hope the caution we applied in the Summer does not end up costing us our Jewel!

.....I think he's more likely relieved. Signing Higdon is highly unlikely to have have resulted in such a fine start pointwise, and we wouldn't be seeing the beneficial effects on both Doyle and Armand of giving them a go. I'm hoping to hear something tonight of how the Board can now support him to achieve success.

You wouldn't know, being a homer. Adams said in his first press conference for Tranmere that Armand had 'caused havoc' when he played against PV. Which he did, 'cos I saw it. So he's now out on loan at a League club, who I would have thought have been prepared to pay all his wages and play him, all to our benefit.

Higdon was one of many that PC would have looked at. I think there would have been a few targets that he would have liked.
Higdon was the one that created all the euphoria at the time, however I am sure there would have been others.

Probably the same as Doyle this time last year!
As in not had a fair run in the team, which is understandable given Doyle's start.
I just think some people need to give Armand a break. Judge him after he's had at least half a dozen consecutive starts.

I will judge him from what I do with every player, with my own eyes, they are telling me he isn't good enough. He isn't developing, his no show in the half an hour or so he got against the blunts told you everything. If you cannot look atleast a little interested in a local derby on a fantastic playing surface, infront of a full house whilst giving our opponents a footballing lesson something is wrong.
He is simply awful and Cooky knows it, whenever he plays or comes on our formation changes to our determent virtually every time, all I read about Armand is excuse after excuse. The simple truth is he is no where near good enough to be playing in our first eleven with the quality we have.

Suddenly this season he's the hero.
I hope Armand starts smashing em in at Rovers.

Doyle is light years ahead of Armand in ability and application, he will also run himself into the ground every single minute he is on the pitch. After five minutes Armand is dead on his feet, he should be as fit as a fiddle oozing hunger and desire to get on the pitch, it really is time for a reality check for some people.
As for Rovers I also hope he bangs them in, then maybe they might want him permanent.

That's not what Cook said tonight. He said that he had only been able to give him 38 minutes of football in the last few weeks and that was no good - you couldn't expect him to come on and look sharp. He expects a massive improvement if he gets pitch time and made reference to his performance at Port Vale. We'll see !
