68 goals in 169 career appearances albeit mainly in Ireland. A few games for The Imps in L2. A product of the Glenn Hoddle Academy too. Hopefully one out of the Ollie Banks and Dan Gardner mould.

Could turn out to be terrific business.
And by the way, how long before deals like this mean Cook should be tied down on a longer contract?

Another year, wasn't it?
Not sure if that takes him to the end of this season, or next.

There are a lot of players from the Irish league that have made an impact....in the past the likes of Forest & Man Utd took all the best irish talent....Keane etc....look at Seamus Coleman ...bought for 50k by Everton! There certainly are some gems on the Emerald Isle!
More Irish players make an impact rather than Scottish in my book.
I think it's great that we have such a wide reaching scouting system..we are looking at people no one has ever heard of! Warfey lad, your looking in the wrong place..Scotland is Bunkum...start making trips to Ireland

I agree. My thoughts were around the 'immediate' part. Generally they will be much younger than this lad and be given time to flourish. This Fagan is 25 so wouldn't be coming to sit around. Perhaps his side are a better standard than I imagine, I dunno.
In any case I trust Cook's judgement.
