Thanks guys. No Spireite references in his name unfortunately but he’ll be coming to a match as soon as his Mum deems it acceptable 👀

I think two days is the record so just over a week will be fine...

Goal keepers and midfielders are different animals - answer this one, there was one goal in it in the end which of the two performances were critical.

I'd say it was the player who scored two and had a massive part to play in the first goal for Grigg. Without the three goals he had a part in we wouldn't have won the match.

I don’t think anybody doubts that, it’s just the nonsense post that suggests a keeper can’t be MotM because it’s “his job” to keep the ball out of the goal.

What's his job then? He's the only player on the pitch that can use his hands legally for that very reason. Besides, I responded to that by explaining the reason for my misunderstanding but if you want to ignore it then fair enough.

And without Tyrer's two great saves Eastleigh would have won 3-4.
It's a team game

Properly wierd debate this. Both Banks and Tyrer contributed massively to the win. Ends.

Without their keepers numerous decent saves we would have been more than 3-0 up well before anything else.

Eastleighs keeper also pulled off great saves. Should he have been MOTM aswell?

Not sure if it's been mentioned anywhere else, but whilst waiting for my son to finish work after the match on Saturday I was listening to Radio Sheffield's Praise or Grumble. There was a Sheffield United season ticket holder who said his son was also a ST holder, but had chosen to go and watch Chesterfield with his mates instead. Think he said he was considering joining his son next time.

Not exactly the same but my lad brought his rugby supporting mate (plays for the panthers but supports Leicester tigers) to the Wealdstone game and he's been to 3 or 4 since and he's getting a half season ticket for Xmas - he's fell in love with it all. There's another one of his mates going to his 1st game ever on Sunday too.
Here we go again!
