If he continues with the Mentality, Structure, style of play and the record of finding quality players like he has wouldn't you want him as a Manager at your Club.
You could do worse and have Paul Cox, Sheridan or the Fat Contoller at Rovrum.

It's not rocket science mate is it. Everything about our club seems to be better since cook took over. If he carries on in the same vein tgere isn't a car in jells chance he won't progress to a bigger club. Some might not find that palatable and choose to bury their heads in the sand but for me you have to be realistic. If he goes it will be because he has been successful here which in the short term is good for all of us. If anyone thinks he can carry on as he is and still be here in another 100 games they are deluded

Just think about that a minute. If he does carry on as he is for another 2 seasons, it would mean we are in the Championship/knocking on the door of the Premier league, that somewhat reduces the number of potential clubs that could come in, and reduce the risk of him leaving as a result.

That's only if you take the success being repeated as literally when it's clear that everyone else is just talking about him continuing to be successful with us generally.

Knockin on the door of the premier league. ....getting a little carried away there are you not.....getting out this league won't be an easy job....yes we've started well but 3 without a win and 2 very tough games up next could see us sliding alarmingly. ..lets just get through this season still in L1 and then maybe we can move forward a little by little.

But there are plenty of teams that could turn his eye at this level and above should they come knocking.
Both Sheffield teams for a start. Leeds, Birmingham etc etc. All clubs with lots of potential to grow and challenge higher than we can.
Enjoy the ride. If we lose the next 5 folk will want him sacked. Some folk were at his throat all last year every time we didn't win so lets not get carried away.

Not getting carried away at all. I think you may have misunderstood my point. I raised the point against a previous post that suggested a continuation of Cooks current form would mean he would leave. I merely point out that a continuation of his form over the last 100 games (2 seasons) would see us in the championship and knocking on the premiership and thus have fewer targets to whom he'd leave us for. I haven't said we'd actually achieve it.

he would need to be pushing for promotion to realistically attract attention from the division above. If this season CFC finish around 10th/12th then not that many will be knocking at the door.
