Don't think so, just he had whatever health issues he had and we lost whatever interest we had in him as a result.

That would likely mean two out of position as neither are left backs so one will need to play there and as well as Mandeville did at full back he is an attacking midfielder. Be surprised if we go into League 2 with that being the case, i'm fine with Sheckleford at right back.

Sorry I meant our two right back options.

I’m inclined to agree.

In fact, if Cook goes the way of returning to his solid defensive ‘box’ of centre half’s and two quality holding midfielders then I can see Mandeville occupying the RB role consistently.

He’s got the engine, discipline and his delivery from wide areas is fantastic. Cook spoke highly of him last season when he played there and what he offers from that role.

Plus we’re flush in the 3 behind the 1 position.

It has been suggested he failed his medical here, you don't think so or know differently?
Anyway he appears to be club less at this moment. We shall see.

Not sure where to put this, but Joe Sbarra released by Solihull. Quite surprised, should pick up a top NL club easily, maybe even L2 ?

He has had a heart problem, good player but probably too much of a risk having the experience we had with poor Danny Rowe.

I assume he means our right sided full backs, we still have Horton for the left, but expect us to sign another left and right sided player for those positions as I can't see mandy playing there unless in an emergency...

Manderville needs to be in midfield with his quality balls into the box.

I totally agree, Mandeville is wasted at right back. If Sheckleford can gain the understanding King had with Mandy, then we should have a productive right flank.

Antoni Sarcevic leaving Stockport. Decent player. Think we’re probably over suscribed in that department now
If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.

Could still do that as a wing back if someone was prepared to cover him while he got forward- but even so, it's not his position, he's just a very good emergency fill-in if required

Depends what you think the problem is in terms of defensive recruitment

Are the centre backs the problem

Or

Do they need more protection from the full backs and midfield

Given we have 3 CB's, 1 RB & 1 LB signed up, you would expect we'd have one signing in each position without considering outgoings.

With the squad size limitations we may see signings who can play a couple positions but I'd hope at a minimum we bring in 2 strong CB's. Notts looked better at the back than us last season and they've been found out pretty easily in League 2.

Found out, they finished 14th and only Stockport and Mansfield scored more goals than them. Some might consider that a success given it was their first season back in division two!

Considering my point was around defensive recruitments that's what I mean by 'found out'. Conceded 86 which is the highest in league 2 and only Rotherham and Sheff United have conceded more in the top 4 leagues.

Scary thing is they also played in a tighter back 3/5 than our back 4.

They went downhill after the departure of Luke Williams. Sat 5th when he left.

They were having problems before he left.

'Williams has bemoaned his side's defensive performances already this season, with Magpies captain Kyle Cameron saying he has been "embarrassed" by their efforts.

The Magpies remain the joint top scorers in the league with 43 goals in 21 games, but only three sides have conceded more than them in the fourth division.

"If we are not going to be great defensively, and then we are not going to outscore the opposition, then I'm not sure what we are going to do," Williams said.'

But they were still 5th when he left. They then won just one of their next 11 games, drawing three.
