As you will know this Saturday (26th), we are home to Leeds,at the same time in Stand Road park there is the Chesterfield Carnival which is expected to attract a large attendance. (This was organised well before the football was arranged). As part of the arrangements, Stand Road ( between Peveril Road and Sheffield Road) and Park Lane (between Ormsby Road and Stand Road) will have ROAD CLOSURES all day (access restricted to Emergency and Residents only). There will be a Carnival Parade at 11-00am to 12-30pm approx, via : Stand Road - Park Lane- Peveril Road - Greenside Drive- Ormsby Road- Park Lane (into Stand Road park).
Therefore anyone travelling by car to the football will not be able to travel to Sheffield Road via Stand Road beyond its junction with Peveril Road. Many fans do park on the Greenside Drive estate, however parking will be restricted on this estate until at least 12-45pm.

Cheers, Dave.

He wants to do something other than watch a pointless match of football, what's the problem? I'm not bothering tomorrow either.

I was going to take a crew of my homies down but as soon as they heard it was £15 they scarpered. Can't really blame them either.

Stags beat them 2-0 the other night so the least we can expect is a 5-0 win.

Nor me, but the weather, the beer and my craving for football has clinched it for me.

back on Topic.

King Street North is also closed for road works (the street off Whit Moor with the Beer Parlour on) so some street parking out of use, too.

Whit Moor was a bit of a bottleneck this lunchtime, queing back round Whit Moor Roundabout causing all sorts of issues on there.
