My thoughts? It's within the rules... but that doesn't necessarily make it right!

If the boot was on the other foot (or the other party) I am sure it would already have been posted.

Ps I love the "couldn't sell as in negative equity" whilst sitting on another house in London in positive equity...wonder what he would have done had he lost his seat?

And whilst we are on the subject of hypocrisy, this one is up there with the best:

Angela Rayner has called for Jeremy Hunt to publish any advice he has received over an apparent conflict of interest – despite refusing to publish her own tax details.

You really couldnt make it up!

Nah, mate.

In fact it pales into insignificance against a bloke obsessing over a Labour politician maybe, perhaps, just possibly avoiding around three grands' worth of tax whilst offering barely a paragraph to criticise a recent Tory chancellor dodging millions...

I have said that breaking the rules is breaking the rules, and his was equally as bad. The value is irrelevant when you break the law, tax evasion is tax evasion. He has of course admitted to his mistake and paid the tax, and a million plus in penalties. Ms Rayner is still protesting her innocence... and not disclosing the fantastic advice she got (which lots of us would love to know..it might help others) but expecting others to disclose theirs...

So in case you struggle with words. The Tory was wrong. He has paid up and admitted his error.

Rayner is pleading innocence but wont show how, but wants others to disclose their advice.

He's leaving politics, probably partly as a result of his tax error. Wonder if she will do the same...?

PS if its only £3k, we can all underpay £3k can we? I handed over nearer £8k on sale of my house which had been my PPR but stopped being when I moved into a different one. I got tax advice to be sure I paid the right amount.... I'd happily have £3k back if its only £3k and not important, could help my daughter with her 3 kids under 8, for which she gets sod all help (despite not working...)

PS you ignored the other one. Imagine it said he was a Tory MP and type what you would type then, go on....!

talking of buying things, see Diane Abbott can stand as an MP with SKS approval after the Unions gave their view on the subject. Who do we think is buying decisions there?

More hypocrisy...

The Tories leader has just shown the same contempt for the veterans that the partying blonde buffoon did for COVID victims. How on earth could he leave for a pre recording interview? Just shows the scum are just that. Scum

Attempts to conscript the youth whilst running away in Normandy, you genuinely couldn't write it. He is outrageously poor at politics.

He's a banker who is operating way above his station and is in over his head. Can't wait until he's gone in a months time, hopefully the rumours about him f*kcing off to America are true too.

You think a change of govt will stop it? What to, labour? They will set out a landing party. Reform? despite what Nige says he has no more idea how to stop it than anyone else... has he copied his mates idea yet and decided to build a wall... in case white cliffs arent big enough??

There is a lot of talk about it to grab the attention of those who dont like it but no one really knows how to stop it. Guess if we become racist and bigoted enough they might decide they are better off staying in France...

Shouldnt you have logged in as a S&D for that post though, bruv?

Surely a perplexing conundrum for our left wingers on here, the ones who shout bigot, racist, uncaring git (or worse) and other profanities, at anyone who voices concern about the numbers coming across illegally? Arnt polls showing that many voters, including Labour voters, now view Labour has the party to best control immigration, ie bring the numbers down, so therefore allow less people into the country? And according to a report in the Independent the other day Starmer is facing a backlash from activists and Unions by threatening to slash the numbers coming into the country. How does that equate?

No, mate.

It's a conundrum for those who've spent years supporting the government. Supporting those who repeatedly insisted they'd "take back control of our borders". Supporting a party that's overseen immigration reaching three quarters of a million last year.

People like you.

In fact you've spent just as long defending and excusing and celebrating those responsible for every episode of the catalogue of proven - PROVEN - corruption and incompetence chronicled on this very thread. Boris the Liar. Liz 'the lettuce' Truss. Jacob Rees-Mogg. Anderson and Badenoch and Patel and Gove and Jenrick...and...and...

All members of the party now imploding in ignomy before our very eyes.

You've spent just as long chucking sneers and jeers and smears at Labour, too. In fact anyone who dared challenge your adopted champions so deemed some sorta 'enemy' by your media of choice. Often in an eyeball bulgingly hypocritical manner, dismissing or denying moral depravities perpetrated by the Right.

So how about a word of contrition. Just a simple sentence or two admitting how wrong you've been. Come on pal, I know you're a decent bloke and it's simply the decent thing to do...

Sorry but I can?t see anywhere in the above diatribe where you?ve commented on Labour ?slashing? immigration numbers? Which was the direction of my conundrum point! Not in voting Labour.
Now to me ?Slashing? means drastically cutting the numbers of immigration. Now why would the Labour Party want to do that when people are fleeing war, famine, persecution and many other atrocities? Surely assist them? Smashing the gangs, there?s that word again, will, Labour say, drastically reduce the numbers arriving here, particularly in small boats, but why do they want to do that?
Unless, and here?s the crux of it, just like many people have concerns that are beaten back almost immediately with the usual slurs, Labour know that many of those arriving here shouldn?t be!
