I've just watched the fathers of both the students who were killed make statements at the University. I openly cried.
As a Dad, and now a Granddad, I cannot comprehend the hurt they must be going through. What a cruel, tragic way for their children's lives to end.

Absolutely, and having been a student at Uni of Nottingham and walked those roads at sometimes silly times in the morning, you realise just how innocent their life was at the time and how incomprehensible that it is cut so cruelly short.

I was out in Nottingham late 80s with a girlfriend and a few lads ran towards us and thankfully past us, one brandishing a big Rambo style knife looking intent on using it.
I'm not ashamed to say I sh*t myself (not literally).
