For any who not aware Dave Oldfield, former gateman and lifelong Spireite has died. He was part of a whole extended family of fans and a friend of mine. His funeral is at the Crem at 10.10 on Wednesday.

Knew David for many years. Firstly when we were gatemen and then later when he came to work at Dronfield Henry Fanshawe School. Always a keen supporter. Remember the two trips down to Wembley for the Johnsones Paint games, when he drove the school minibus. A lovely guy. Will be sadly missed.

Always sad to hear of the death of fellow Spireites condolences to all his friends and family

Nice bloke was Dave, worked at Flogates with my missus.
Dancers are considered mad by those who cant hear music.
