What app/platform do you use?
Not looking at big amounts, but contemplating spreading a few hundred £ across a few low value currencies in the hope that one or two go major, so don't want to pay high or fixed transaction costs but want a reliable app that's safe to use.

Or tulip bulbs.
Sorry…flippant ⬆️ Do you understand crypto? Know about blockchain? Criteria for choosing your “bets”?

On a vaguely related note, I have done some microlending via Assetz Capital for good returns, but withdrawing is not a quick process.

It’s regulated in the U.K. by? Oh..no one. Isn’t part of a compensation scheme.
I’d rather put it in my betting account.
I’m sure people will say they’ve made fortunes…most haven’t.
If you do invest prepare to lose it all and anything else is an upside.

My advice, don't bother.
Look at the share price volatility in Argo Blockchain Plc over the past two years and notice the general trend, that tells you all you need to know.
YouTube is full of crypto millionaires who haven't got a pot to piddle in but they all want to train and educate you in how to become successful, for a fee of course! The reality is the big fund managers simply avoid it.

Why is it a bargain in your opinion? Genuine interest. Do your mean it has a low price? Doesn’t mean it has any value. What’s it’s usp v the others? What’s the catalyst to change?

I listened to a podcast recently where the owner of an independent luxury car garage outlined why criminals like using crypto and that he's started accepting it as payment!

Thanks, to be honest, that's the same advice I've had a from a friend who works in the finance sector, too.

Its certainly not something I'd look to be investing my future in, but I just fancied putting a couple of £100 in more as a hobby than anything else, certainly more appealing and the bank seems only a slightly better option than having it stuffed under the mattress currently!

I've seen a few people recommending really low value currencies, (HOLO and AMP for example) but for your example to hit 2 cents it needs to increase 77 fold, which seems extreme to say the least.

He says buy a lap top and only use this for crypto and nothing else. Write down your wallet password and user name so you don’t lose it. Make sure the crypto your looking at has really secure blockchains.
Of course we’re central banks to introduce crypto in current currency so you could have a coin/note/electronic currency linked to electronic blockchains it makes bitcoins and all the rest obsolete over night.
Currently it’s a joint venture between criminal gangs and speculators hence the volatile nature of the market. Criminal gangs money transfer is the stable money movements, speculators sell on peaks and buy on troughs but there’s no massive investment “from markets”

It's a relatively new coin, it's forerunner luna hit 159 dollars (off the top of my head) before a major crash earlier this yr, it is a relatively small investment, which could yeald a decent return, currently many crypto's are losing value due to the current worldwide recession, but lunc is holding its own, and even made small gains last week, .. its a gamble a longterm gamble but worth the risk for say 100 quid..

None of which explains why it’s good value. Or why there is a catalyst to improve.
It’s definitely a gamble.
